what is required to book a shoot?
Before booking, I love to connect with clients over the phone to get to know them. If we're a good fit, I require a 25% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract to secure a date on my calendar.
what can I expect at my photoshoot?
Expect less posing, more exploring. I want to capture the real you, uninhibited. To get you most comfortable, I help take care of all the little details beforehand like wardrobe recommendations, location scouting, and creating a music playlist to put you at ease if you'd like. All you have to do is show up!
how quickly after our session will my photos be ready?
Turnaround time varies depending on the type of session. Birth sessions take up to 4 weeks for delivery and couple + family sessions take up to 3 weeks. To help with the wait, I always send clients 5+ sneak peak photos and a GIF within 24 hours of a photoshoot!
what happens if there's bad weather on our shoot day?
I'm up for shooting in any weather, and guarantee we'll get incredible shots - rain or shine! That said, I regularly monitor the weather leading up to a photoshoot to keep clients in the loop on any changes. If there is inclement weather, we can reschedule for a new date and time that works for everyone.
do you travel? If so, what are your fees?
I primarily shoot in San Antonio, TX and surrounding areas. Any session within a 25 mile radius is included in your photoshoot cost. For all locations outside San Antonio, all travel expenses (including mileage, airfare, hotel & rental car) are covered by my clients. However, please inquire for more details and options! I'll do what's in my power to work with you.
how do you accept payment?
I accept payment via venmo, zelle, or cash. I do not accept checks or paypal. If your preferred payment method is not listed, let me know and I'll see how I can accommodate you.
do you ever offer discounts?
I offer a friends + family discount to new clients who come recommended! If you learn about me through one of my past clients, you'll get 10% off your first session with me. Let's build a community here.
do you offer boudoir, graduate, or headshot session?
No. To give the best attention to my clients, I've chosen to limit my offerings to only include: couples (engagement, bridal, milestones, just for fun) families (maternity, newborn, milestones, family trees) home births (within the home or at a birthing center).
will you post my birthing images on your website and social media accounts?
Only if you give me permission to. I do not and will not post your images without your exclusive permission. I cover this during consultations but once I complete your gallery, you have the right to tell me what images you're okay with me sharing or not sharing. For birthing sessions, I never post explicit or graphically sensitive images online. Those private images are for clients only. we keep it G-rated over here.
what happens if you miss the birth?
Birth is one of the most unpredictable journeys. Missing a birth can happen, but in the birth photography world it is extremely rare. However, in the case where I am sick, injured, or otherwise unable to physically be there, I have a back up photographer on call who is ready to go at a moment's notice. Should I miss the birth while in route to your location and baby decides to be born quicker than anticipated, I will document as much as I can in the golden hours that follow. I will also make up for the missed birth with a lifestyle newborn and/or a family session on a later date in the future.
